Monteverdi published two massive volumes of his compositions: The Eight Book of Madrigals and the Selva Morale. The SSU Chamber Singers, accompanied by a chamber ensemble from Sonoma Baroque, will present some of the astounding pieces from these books, representing the peak of Monteverdi's art in both secular and sacred realms.
